Your rebate and out-of-pocket costs depend on your nib cover, waiting periods, annual or service limits, the treatment provided and the dental item numbers claimed. Please note that Specialist Prosthodontist Dr Michelle Huang is not affiliated with the nib schedule, so fees for specialist treatment with Dr Michelle may differ from nib First Choice Network scheduled fees.

Book and mention nib
Book a dental appointment with Absolute Dental and let our team know you are a nib member. If you are planning treatment beyond a routine visit, ask whether an itemised estimate can be prepared before you decide to proceed.
Discuss suitable care
Your dentist will assess your oral health, discuss suitable options and explain the fees for the treatment proposed. Treatment suitability depends on your clinical needs, not your health fund cover.
Show your nib card
Bring your physical nib member card or supported digital nib card to reception. The nib digital card may be used at providers with a HICAPS terminal, where supported by the device, card setup and fund requirements.
Claim and pay any gap
After eligible treatment, our team can submit your claim electronically through HICAPS. If nib approves a benefit, the claim amount is applied and you pay any remaining gap. If the claim cannot be processed on the spot, we can provide an itemised receipt so you can follow up with nib directly.
