Why do gums bleed?

Gums bleed as a result of a disease called gingivitis. It’s a side effect of the inflammation of the gum. Patients have probably heard of the gingivitis disease before because of advertising.

So the main reason patients are subjected to gingivitis is through irregular professional preventive care as well as not taking good care at home.

So what we recommend for the treatment is six monthly professional preventive care so we can stay on top of it and for the patient to brush twice daily at home and floss at least once a day.
